God is calling us today to live in an increasing melting pot culture where there are tremendous generation gaps, huge socio-economic disparities, racial and ethnic differences, cultural preferences, and many regional prejudices. In almost every category of life, we can be found different from the person next door. Yet, we believe God calls His followers to effect the seemingly impossible in a local church; that is, to truly “preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace” (Eph 4:3). This requires constant spiritual vigilance over our own attitudes and relationships when we may be most prone to cast judgment upon another. We envision, therefore, a church which strives energetically toward biblical holiness in a climate of patience, joy, and forbearance as we deal lovingly with our brothers and sisters in Christ who, like ourselves, are in process of formation toward Christ-likeness. We are conclusively committed to love and grace on the road toward greater holiness.
